Principles of Ergonomics
Discover the principles of ergonomics that affect human performance and capabilities. Common cumulative trauma disorders and their contributing factors will be discussed. General information is included to aid the worker in avoiding injury by focusing on his/her own postures, manual tool usage, workstation layout and design, and task procedures. Proper lifting techniques will be demonstrated. The focus is on preventing injury/illness thereby supporting company initiatives.

Ergonomics for the Computer User
The principles of ergonomics are shared that focus on the computer user. Risk identification techniques will be included to assist in proper chair, desk, keyboard, mouse and monitor setup. Proper lifting techniques will be demonstrated. Participants will be able to correct their workstation and define optimal products for their specific tasks.

Protect your Back!
Basic anatomy of the back will be shared to assist participants in understanding the principles behind the proper lifting technique. Methods to protect the back and preventing injury will be covered. This course is appropriate for all audiences since back injury is the leading cause of work related ergonomic concerns.

Ergonomics Analysis Techniques
Advanced training for individuals responsible for investigating ergonomic injuries/illnesses. By focusing on root cause analysis techniques, risks can be mitigated and corrective actions identified. Participants will use common analysis tools to quantify the risks. Manual material handling, pushing/pulling/carrying activities, and anthropometry will be covered. The participant will be able to quantify risks and identify appropriate corrective and preventive actions.

OSHA 10 and 30 hour Courses:
These courses are tailored to fit your industry and will cover OSHA policies, procedures and standards. The topics will include general industry standards based on the 29 CFR 1910. Topics may include: Record keeping, Personal Protective Equipment, Material Handling, Machine Guarding, Walking and Working Surfaces, defining clear goals and developing written plans.
